The Ockel Sirius A… I’ve been waiting for this thing since it first came out on Indiegogo and I finally got my hands on one. These are my first impressions!

 

The Ockel Sirius A is a tiny Windows PC that you can put in your pocket. It has a 6 inch full HD screen and you can off course use it in tablet mode or desktop mode. The tiny device is in my opinion mainly used for working on the go or in an air plane. The cool thing about the Ockel Sirius A is that it has a lot of ports. It has HDMI, Display port, 2 regular USB’s, USB C and an Ethernet port. This does mean that you can plug in an external monitor and a mouse/keyboard.

Besides all the ports and buttons, there’s also a small camera, speaker and fingerprint scanner on this device. The speaker works great but gets a bit distorted when it’s on the loudest volume (you also get an audio jack). The camera was better than expected and the fingerprint scanner worked with Windows Hello.

Off course it’s not all sunshine. The Ockel Sirius A gets pretty hot after a couple of minutes, but it’s bearable. The regular 4GB RAM version is also not amazing for gaming, it’s better for doing some work like typing on Word or browsing the web. Another big factor you need to take in consideration is the price. The Sirius A is not cheap. The regular version comes in at 700$ and the Pro will cost you 800$ or more. However, don’t forget that this is not a regular tablet or something: this is a full Windows 10 pc in the palm of your hands and it works great.
