Everyone appreciates the value of a tabbed interface these days. Of course we mostly appreciate it from within a web browser but there are some people who think that all our applications might benefit from tabs. Like, for example, MS Office. Cue OfficeTab a nifty bit of freeware that adds tabs to MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word so you can easily see and switch between files.

A standard-edition context menu on the tab bar lets you save, close or open files tab-by-tab or all at once, and for those who are familiar with tabbed code editing tools (i.e. most of them), there is also the standard visual indicator of which files have been edited but not saved. It’s bilingual (Chinese/English) and supports Office XP/2003 and up.
OfficeTab (v1.20) is a Microsoft Office plug-in application, which includes the Exceltab3.20, WordTab2.30 and PowerPointTab2.20 three components, corresponding to support for Excel, Word and PowerPoint’s multi-tag mode. Its main function is to add the above procedure is similar to a multi-label IE toolbar. User-friendly in a different document (workbook, or presentation) to switch between.
