OneTab for Google Chrome – One tab to rule them all [Freeware]

OneTab for Google Chrome

We remember a day when browsers didn’t have tabs. If you wanted to visit two sites at once, you had to open another window. However, tabs are a technology we got behind in a big way, sometimes resulting in more tabs open than one human could possibly handle all at once. Thankfully, Chrome users now have a way to tidy up the tab-hoarding.

OneTab for Google Chrome is a handy little tool that does two things at once. First, it makes the browser look a lot less cluttered by taking all the open tabs and transforming them into a tidy list under the OneTab icon. However, it’s not all about aesthetics because you’ll also save up to 95% memory since resources are no longer being drained by all those open tabs. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.

While we personally don’t see an immediate use for this one particular feature, you can also click on the ‘share as a web page’ icon that lets you upload your list of tabs into a web page to share with others.

OneTab for Google Chrome is available as a free download at the Chrome Web Store.
