Online Eye Test – see what…?

Onlinesnelleneyetest

You know how you find it difficult to read the road signs, but refuse to admit an eye problem? Well now you can check your peepers out in the privacy of your own boudoir with this Online Snellen Eye Test. Go on, give it a go, before you mow down some unfortunate bod in the Costco car park.

 If you have 20/20 vision, you have average or normal vision – not perfect vision mind you, just average vision. The 20/20 designation simply means that you can see at 20 feet what the average person can see at 20 feet. Many people have vision better than 20/20. To determine what your numbers are, most eye doctors use the Snellen Chart. It has lines of letters on it that start out large at the top and end up small at the bottom. The 20/20 line is near the bottom of the chart. In a doctor’s office, it is usually placed 20 feet away from you. If you can read the 20/20 line, you have 20/20 vision.

  • I think there's a mistake in the instructions on that one:

    "…measure the length of the big "E" at the top of the chart. Then multiply that number by 2.838" … "if the big "E" is 2 inches in length, you will need to sit 5' 8" from the screen"

    2 x 2.838 != 5'8" :-(

    (never mind that it's not using the far more widely used unit of length, the "Metres per Square Fortnight")

  • Hey,

    I did a search on google for the phrase “online eye test” and saw that your website was ranked low on google. I specialize in getting websites to the top spots on google and I really feel that with the potential that your website has it’s a real shame that it is not ranked higher.
