Pebble Watch can do much more than just tell time

When you think of getting a wristwatch, you know what to expect. You’ll get something that tells the time, and might have something like a stopwatch built in. Nowadays, this is almost archaic, as we expect every bit of technology we own to be able to do fifty things at once.

It seems that we use our phones for just about everything anymore, so it seems only fitting that there should be a watch that ties in with our mobile devices. Last week we took a look at the Sony SmartWatch, but the Pebble looks like it might just beat it out. It has all the same abilities, such as reminding you of important events, letting you know when a call or text is incoming, or act as a timer for runners and cyclists. The only difference is that it is a bit more customizable, and is waterproof enough to go swimming in or run in the rain. It has an e-paper display so you will always be able to see the face of the watch, even in broad daylight. Once it goes into retail, it will cost about $150, but you can get it for $115, if you hop on the Kickstarter bandwagon.
