Flexibility is slowly becoming a thing in the tech world, and we’re super excited. We’ve heard of foldable smartphones, and now we are seeing the rise of flexible wireless charging pads.

Earlier today, the PlusUs Xpad was revealed, the world’s first flexible wireless charging pad, and the thinnest as well. We understand it was made with genuine leather and other eco-friendly materials and should be able to handle all smartphones, no matter their size.

The flexibility is made possible because the circuit board is separated from the charging pad. Doing this also allows for the Xpad to be 2.2mm thin, which is around 75 percent thinner than the thinnest wireless charging pad on the market today.

Interestingly enough, PlusUs managed to increased power and efficiency in such a thin product.  PlusUs has patented its technique, so bad luck competitive companies.

No word yet on the release date, but we’ll definitely keep you posted once the company decides to share more information.
