POPSICASE – the first iPhone case made from 100 percent recycled materials

Discarded fishing net

Fishing nets are decimating marine life in our oceans, even though many governments have banned their use. One company is doing something about it.

POPSICASE 1

POPSICASE is the first iPhone protective case made from discarded fishing nets and recycled aluminum. The invention was created by architect, set designer and sculptor Pablo Erlandsen and María José Pedragosa, a biologist, advertiser and social entrepreneur. This innovative case has a hideaway handle that makes it easy to use your iPhone 6, 6S or 7 – even one-handed!

Patented in 34 countries, the case’s skin is soft, durable and ultra slim. Its packaging is eco-friendly too – reuse it as a phone carrying case once you unload your new “toy.” The company has partnered with 17 ports along the Mediterranean coastline to collect, wash, chop, melt and create this sturdy material that’s then taken to their factory in Spain and injection molded into a handsome and unique smartphone case.

POPSICASE 2

The company is committed to producing a product that has a positive impact by using upcycled materials to help keep our oceans clean. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the POPSICASE will be available in March 2017 in 8 colors .Sounds like a very cool accessory!
