Preschooler’s Digital Camera – some soft focus for your tough tyke

This cutesily coloured object houses a specially hardened Preschooler’s Digital Camera, as tested by the 5th Battalion of the Royal Scottish Marine Corp. That’s right, it should stand up to several minutes of your little angel smashing it mightily against the floor, LCD television, dog bowl and patio gnome. Sure it’s got nice rubbery hand grips and shoots real photos and video, but who cares when you can stuff it up Fido’s nose and play hunt the shutter button? $59.95.

This is the digital camera sized for small hands…the camera has a 0.3 MP image sensor that takes both 640 x 480 resolution pictures and 320 x 240 resolution videos. It has a fixed-focus lens, so children simply line up a shot and press the button; images are shown on its 1″ color display. It can store up to 150 JPEG pictures and 3 1/2 minutes of AVI video on its 16 MB memory, which can be downloaded to a computer running Windows via the included USB cable.
