PretonSaver Home is a new commercial software program which apparently can save you up to 70% of your printer ink costs by reducing the amount of pixels you print without destroying print quality. The idea of print optimisation is not new of course, we’ve featured the freeware GreenPrint before, but this is the first time I can remember a program supporting both inkjet and laser.
The full version costs $34.99, so really only high volume print users will find this attractive, for the rest of us it’s probably overkill. I hardly use a printer any more, except for essential tasks. Anyway, worth a look and laudably eco spirited (if expensive!).
