PricePlay – play to pay

Priceplay2

PricePlay is either genius or insane. Basically you play an online game to earn a discount on a product you want to buy. Aha, I hear you say, why don’t they just hand over the discount up front? Well, we reply, that’s because it wouldn’t get very much press coverage now, would it? Shape up at the back there. Anyhoo, it’s a fascinating idea, and although the beta version is a bit sluggish and there aren’t that many products on offer yet, some of the games (and discounts) aren’t bad. Worth a look-see.

You choose a product you want. You select an Interactive Pricing Activity (such as an online video game or trivia game) you like. Then you play. The price drops as you play the game. The better you are at the game, the lower the price. You decide when you want to stop. That is the price you want and have control over with. Playing is free and unlimited. No purchase necessary.

  • Well. We are not crazy. A buyer plays for free on any of our games to earn the discount he wants. A seller makes up the discount by potentially showing some ads.

A web site owner can implement this with their own products with a link by copying and pasting our html codes…make sense??

  • Actually Jerry you may have a gem of an idea here, if you can get the sellers to give really good discounts on the basis of advertising revenues. Keep us in touch. The web site stuff is also interesting, maybe we’ll look at that for a T-Shirt or something in the future. :-)

  • Thanks. We will let you know how things go as we make improvements and changes to our site daily.
We launched Monday and it seems traffic increases daily.
