Restore your old phone with sandpaper and a headlight polishing kit

When you have a shiny new smartphone, it’s tempting to not get a case, just show you can show it off in all of its glory. Of course, if you do this, then you run the risk of getting it all scratched and scuffed up. Granted, as long as its limited to the back, it won’t cause any issues with actually using it, and can be covered up with a case. But what if you want to restore it to its former glory? It’s actually not all that hard to do.

In this guide, they show us how to use a little bit of fine grit sandpaper and a 3M Headlight Lens Restoration Kit to polish an old iPhone. All you need to do is dry sand for a bit, then add a bit of water and wet sand. Use the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit to polish it up, and you’ll have it looking good as new. The only trouble is that if you’re doing this to an iPhone, you will remove the Apple logo. They even walk you through changing out broken/scratched glass on the same phone. Both are cheap fixes to get your phone back to pristine condition.
