Things that are reusable are both good for you and the environment. You save money and the earth. But how many times do you really need to reuse what is essentially a candle? The Revitalizer is a wax lamp that lets you use it again and again and again.
The Revitalizer is a lamp. The shade is made from a wax mold. The bulb is of the high voltage variety. As it glows, it melts the wax which drips into a cup. Under the cup is a heater which helps the wax settle into a more uniform shape. Once the fallen wax cools down and reforms, you can remount it as a shade for the lamp and start the process over again.
It takes about two hours for the wax to reform. In the meantime, the lamp is shade-less and the nice mood lighting is likely painfully bright. So in the time that you’re waiting on the new shade, the lamp is pretty useless. Still, a neat concept. If you’re interested in the product, you’ll have to enquire directly with the maker for a price.
I think a shade that doesn’t melt would be more convenient :)
