Self Stirring Pot lends a hand to busy cooks

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a very good cook. Part of it is inexperience, but the other is my short attention span. I’ll get distracted, only to let something burn on the stove. It also doesn’t help that I try to do a million things at once. Thankfully there are some kitchen gadgets that can help someone like me, even a little. At first glance, this Self Stirring Electric Pot seems like something made for lazy people, I’m convinced it’s for easily distracted ones.

This pot is rather handy, for any cook. It has an adjustable temperature from between 200 F to 375 F, which means that you don’t have to take up an extra burner if you’re cooking a large meal. The best part, however, is that there is a spatula integrated into the bottom, which will rotate at a steady pace. This will help prevent the food from sitting in one spot and getting burnt while you’re attending to other food (or being distracted with conversation). For $100, this could save many a meal.

  • I too am a terrible cook. However, She-that-excels tells me that to make the perfect poached egg. you need to create a gentle vortex in the water and then pour in the egg. Thus, a self-stirring pot could help you make perfect poached eggs.

That’s one use for it, I’m sure there are some that are vaguely demanding too ;-)
