Snoop – receive alerts when something happens on your web site

Snoop

Snoop looks like a clever bit of tech which streams alerts to your desktop when anything occurs on your website. Unlike the basic alert systems like Hyperspin et al, which are there to tell you when your site goes down, this service can be set up to deliver notifications for just about anything, including a sale on your site, when someone comments, a forum post etc etc. I can see it being very useful, but I do wonder how it will fare with high traffic sites. Definitely worth checking out methinks.

Real-time Notification A dedicated asynchronous (non-polling) connection is maintained with Reinvigorate. You’ll know the instant someone makes a comment on your blog, posts in your forum, purchases an item, gets referred from another site, etc.. Audible Events Each event triggers a unique sound. If you’re caught up in your work, or in another room, you don’t have to worry about missing events. Name Tag Integration Snoop features automatic integration with Name Tags so you’ll know exactly who your visitors are.
