Sonicwalk gives your life that background music you’ve always wanted

It may be called the Sonicwalk, but it was definitely made for high-energy sports. Running, cycling, and snowboarding are all quite fast-paced, which makes listening to music through headphones quite difficult, as jostling around can move your ear buds out of place. However, if they do stay in place, you will be blocking out exterior sound, and might not hear oncoming danger. This is why the Sonicwalk plays music outward from two shoulder straps.

Its design is quite simple and effective, a big downside being that you will have to share whatever you’re listening to with everyone around you. Although the straps are reminiscent of a backpack, it has no carrying compartment, and only has two hidden speakers in either strap. The back contains a battery-powered LED strip that makes sure no one will miss you if you are exercising at night. Power and volume controls are available, but you will need to have your favorite playlist at the ready, as it is meant to stay in place during your excursion. It will work with some mobile devices or MP3 players, and costs $120, which is quite a hefty amount. Even with its convenience, I don’t know if I could part with that much money for some lightweight speakers.
