When you’re a young child, it doesn’t take that much to entertain you. A simple ball can provide countless hours of fun. When you’re an adult, you’re going to lose interest in it pretty quickly, unless you’re playing a sport of some sort. That, or you’ve got yourself a Sphero.

Sphero might look like a rather ordinary ball, however, it has something special inside. When paired up with an Android or iOS device, it can be controlled with a touch of the screen. You have complete control of the ball’s movement, as well as features such as “speed boost” (to get over objects, or away from the family pet) or the color of the ball itself. The $130 price seems pretty steep for a toy, but I’m sure it would be a lot of fun.
