Suction Bungee is just waiting to break something

There are times when you see something online that you can admire for artistic vision, versatility, or good craftsmanship. Then there are other items that come onto your screen in which you question the sanity of the creator. Normally there are good intentions behind these ideas, but practicality isn’t always prevalent.

The Suction Bungee may seem like a good idea as a precautionary measure, but it’s going to hurt a lot more than it will help. This is an elastic cord that has suction cups on either side with 18″ of tubing over the cord that can be cut to size. It’s meant to make sure things don’t fall off of a self in the fridge, tub, or a cabinet, but suction cups aren’t exactly the most reliable of things.

Paying out $13 will get you a set of two, but do keep in mind that this is a slingshot that could give on either side at pretty much any time. Being to tired to remember to lift a jar over it will either have you dropping it, or shooting it back into the fridge. There’s also the issue of forgetting it’s there when you put something in and just dropping it on the floor. Is there even a good way to do this?
