SuperImpulse’s MicroArcade – an arcade cabinet game in a credit card

The best video games are the classic arcade titles of the past, change my mind. Many of these games are easily found on the web or for Windows, but what if folks want to play while on the go?

No worries because SuperImpulse, known for making small handheld gaming devices, is now launching a new product called the MicroArcade. It’s ridiculously small – almost credit card sized – and comes with a full colour LCD screen. Which is amazing.

It also features control buttons and speakers for all those classic sound effects (pew pew pew). You could say this is miniaturization taken to a new level.

The only real downside is the fact that each MicroArcade only comes with a single game installed. We understand the first series will have three different versions – Pac-Man, Tetris, and an Atari Combo Card that comprises of Missile Command, Centipede, and a mystery title. Sounds like a lot of fun in your pocket.

Each MicroArcade will go on sale for $20, which isn’t exactly cheap, but could catch on with the kool kids.
