In order to meet emission goals, decreasing the amount of emissions from vehicles is a key point. It’s easy enough to say just drive an electric car but, well, it’s really easy to say anything, isn’t it? Swindon took a more solution and has introduced a a 80kW powertrain so that cars can be easily switched over to electric.
This isn’t something that you can swap out at home (unless your home is a garage and you are a specialized mechanic in which case, carry on) but it will allow manufactures to easily switch over to electric motors for their new cars.
The crate is very compact and designed to work with a number of vehicles but the flagship is the Classic Mini. Same look, new power. It operates at zero emissions and can go for up to 125 miles. If all goes well, we may see a new spring in electronic motors.
