It’s a sad sign of the times when you notice just how much time we spend trying to keep all our devices charged up and ready to go. In fact it’s actually quite embarrassing, and sometimes feels like I’m actually doing a full time job running around grabbing cables, adapters, power leads and the rest. A sort of demeaning battery slavery. Surely gadgets are there to serve us, not the other way round?

Our only hope of liberation from this servitude is for the boffins to come up with significantly improved battery technology I guess, but until then, here’s a product which might make things a little easier. The Sync Charge Multi Tool is like a little Swiss Knife of charger adapters, and contains connectors for Apple 4S style, micro and mini USB. This should cope with most stuff out there.

The product also rather handily doubles up as a phone stand and lets you do a direct charge from any USB port, but the cute bit is the fact that it has a little compartment which is great for storing microSD and/or SIM cards. There’s nothing fancy about the design, but at $11.00 we wouldn’t expect there to be.
