Synthasite – create your own website Ajax style

Synthasite2

I’ve been playing with the very early version of the Synthasite web site creator service and have come away impressed in parts and disappointed in others. It’s very ‘test preview’ which means that it’s slow to use, which can be very frustrating when you’re trying to slap a site together fast (which after all is what these tools are all about).

The nice bits are the drag and drop and relentlessly Ajaxian interface. The bad bits are the overly complicated componentisation and the relentlessly Ajaxian interface. For my money, Weebly does the same job much better, albeit with less flexibility and far fewer customisation options. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Synthasite is about revolutionising Web Publishing. We’re building an awesome browser based AJAXified website construction / mashup tool that allows you to assemble your website from any PC. No more are your applications and files stuck on the office PC. Ever lost a file? Not with Synthasite.

  • Hi – thanks for your comments! The only way to improve Synthasite will be to get great feedback like yours!

I’m sorry to that you found Synthasite to be slow – it’s the first that we have heard of it, and our server logs indicate that we have had very high availability.

I would appreciate it if you can email your system & line specifications (browser, connection, operating system) and any other specific comments that you may have to support@synthasite so that we can determine how to improve your experience!

As we said, this is an Alpha test release, we’re looking to our user base to provide feedback on improving usability, speed & performance so that Synthasite meets every expectation!

    Thanks again,

    Vinny Lingham
    CEO, Synthasite
