Telegram Stop – Twitter for people who remember the olden days

Feeling disconnected from your past? Want to communicate with your grandparents in the way to which they were once accustomed? Would you prefer to compose messages in 140-character increments? Then why not send a ye olde telegram via Telegram Stop?

For a small fee (US$4.70, worldwide) you can compose and send a reasonable facsimile of an old-style telegram to your nearest and dearest. Telegrams can be sent now or to arrive before your nominated date, and you can opt to receive a digital copy as well. There’s a 400 character limit (so Twitterers can go nuts) and full stops are replaced with -STOP- just like the real thing.

Our telegrams are made to look and feel like a classic telegram from the original days when telegrams were one of the only forms of national and international communications, we’ve taken great care to ensure the experience to the recipient is one that garners surprise and a sense of warmth.
