The Disability Collection – inclusive stock photos

Representation matters. As we’re scrolling through our newsfeeds, reading articles and learning about the world, it is really important that the full spectrum of people that live in it are represented. The Disability Collection is a curated collection of stock photos that showcase disability in everyday life.

These aren’t photos ABOUT disability. These photos feature people with disabilities, doing everyday things. Cooking, playing with children, hanging with friends, resting, all the very standard things you would see in any stock photography.

The idea is to provide more diverse images to be used in which people, as they are, are represented. The project is part of a partnership with Verizon Media and Getty Images. These aren’t free images, they must be licensed to use, but still a solid resource.
