The game Red Rover was quite fun to play as a child. Once you hit your teens and beyond, this playtime game became a hazard, seeing that you might walk away with serious injury. Colliding with another human being at high speeds is not fun, but we still make up new games like this that put us in danger.

The Human Slingshot was created so you can “fling each other around the inside of a giant stretchable band like a bouncing pinball”. Four people get inside of this giant piece of polyester and spandex cloth to take turns using and creating tension. The first one to fall out or get too dizzy loses. There are ways to make sure you won’t get hurt, however, just staying to the right and making sure you turn around at the right time doesn’t mean everything is going to be smooth sailing. This is a $75 purchase that is going to be fun, but will probably make your head spin after a short while of use. It is durable with felled seams and a carrying case to keep it safe, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re probably going to bash heads with at least one other person.
