The iZak open media box

The iZak Portable Media Center. You remember those grandad, don’t you? They were those things that you connected to your PC, downloaded your media to and then carted next door to play on your television. Why are you laughing gramps? Anyhoo, the claim to fame of this puuuuuuppppy is that it comes complete with a GNU licence which makes it open standards or something equally geek-tastic. Let’s have a penguin party. It’s $229.00 for the 40 GB version, so please form an orderly line.

iZak is a Portable Digital Multimedia Player device that you can connect to any PC or Mac via USB-2 (plug ’n play) in order to copy your favorite media content (music, movies, pictures, data files). Once you have transferred your data to iZak you can connect it to any TV to enjoy movies, music and photos. You can watch your favorite films in HDTV quality Video and Dolby Digital or DTS quality Audio.
