The Most Useful Periodic Table Ever – with real world applications

This has got to be The Most Useful Periodic Table Ever. Not just a boring list of elements and stuff, but also includes things that actually use these basic building blocks of our universe. It’s a joint effort between the University of York in the UK and some other bods, and it’s sitting on a staging server at oil giant, so this link might not survive long.

Definitely worth downloading if only to learn that Hafnium 72 is used in nuclear submarines and Lanthanum 57 in lighter flints and camera lenses. Who coulda guessed?
