Are you lonely and in need of someone to talk to? Like a real live person? Why not give Sweden a call? The county has its phone number so you can call and talk about whatever you want for a few months.

It’s part of a new initiative from the Swedish Tourist Association to help the rest of the world learn about their country. Sure you can just Google it but what better way to learn about a place than from the people who live there? When you call in, you’ll be connected to a volunteer ambassador who can answer your questions about the country.

You can call at all hours but Sweden may be sleeping, which is to say, they’re on a different time zone so you’ll likely have better luck with connecting if you call during waking hours. You do have to pay the international charges for the phone call but it’s a fun way to learn about a different place. Plus, you’ll get to learn what it’s really like to live there, from people who actually do.
