ThePresent Annual Clock – track the year with style and watch time fly

ThePresent Annual Clock

There are all kinds of clocks being used these days, showing just how important time is to us, but this stylish new take on keeping track of time puts a brand-new perspective on things by losing the numbers and keeping track of the year instead of the hours.

According to their website, the purpose of ThePresent Annual Clock is to expand our perception of time. We don’t know about that but it is a nice-looking time-teller that provides a new way of watching the days go by.

Instead of tracking our daily lives by the hours, minutes, and seconds, ThePresent tells time by yearly standards, requiring a full 365 days to make a complete rotation. To add to the sleek, artistic design of the clock, you don’t even get the names of the months in place of numbers; just a color palette that gradually shifts from one color range to the next.

These colors weren’t chosen in a haphazard way, though. Each field represents the changes in seasons. At what would be considered the 12:00 position, we have a tiny streak of pure white, which signifies the Winter Solstice, pure green is for the Spring Equinox, pure yellow is for Summer, pure red is for Autumn, and then back to where we begin with the Winter Solstice.

If you like the idea of keeping track of the year in this unique way, the clock is available for $249, with two different types available: one for the Northern Hemisphere, and one for the Southern Hemisphere.
