TrendyKid Wash And Brush Timer

Kids always have a tendency to want to skip brushing their teeth or washing their hands. Either that or not nearly long enough to keep clean and free of cavities. This Wash and Brush Timer is a very easy to understand timer that has a 2 minute time limit for while brushing teeth, and a 20 second for washing hands. Once pressed, The giant light on the bottom will flash green faster and faster until it expires into red. This costs about $8, and runs on 3x AAA batteries.

This whole idea is really poorly done. The timer has no motivation for kids to care about fulfilling the time limit other than a green strobe light. This looks more like its for adults, and likely won’t hold a kid’s attention whatsoever. Running off of three batteries that are tiny and expensive is ridiculous seeing as this definitely shouldve been made to plug into the wall. There will usually always be a free outlet in the kids bathroom because they dont use blow dryers or curling irons. This doesnt even have night light capabilities, which is a pretty big factor for kids who are afraid of the dark and have to use the bathroom at night. At around $8, it isn’t very expensive, but I can think of much better things to do with that money.
