This app lets you add your closest friends and family as your trusted contacts. They can, at any time, request your location. If everything is fine, you can decline the request but if your phone is dead or don’t respond at all, then it will automatically share your location. You can also choose to share your location manually if you feel unsafe.

To be fair, this app seems ripe for abuse in many ways but for people who have friends and family that are traveling, live in sketchy neighborhoods, or work late, this app can help them know that their most important people are safe or where they’re at without obsessively calling or checking social media.
