Japan has the ability to think up some crazy gadgets, but at least eighty percent of them are usually adorable. Their products are also usually weird and animated in some way shape or form. An excellent example is the Twimal that will be hitting Japan March 31st.
As much as we think America is freaking out about Twitter, Japan has definitely got us beat. Toy maker Takara Tomy has created this pet animal that will read your tweets for you. Connected to your computer (Windows only) via a USB cable, you can now have your own little Twitpet. This little device can read and read your tweets, replies, up to three hash tags, tweets coming from users on lists and all sorts of other tweets. There is also the option of getting two as well, just so you don’t have to hear the same monotonous voice for every tweet. These cute little Twimals only cost $31, but sadly only speak Japanese at the moment.
