I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the service could be one of the single most awesome music finding tools evar.

Why? Well think of collaborative filtering based on P2P networks combined with Wikipedia background info on artists, allied with a kickin’ search engine and you get the idea. The only thing that could do with some improvement is the preview function, which really needs better and deeper linking into tracks on places like Amazon. But still, this is Superb!

In order to unlock the potential of your fellow fans to help you find music, we’ve analyzed the collections of over a quarter million music collections (more every day) from the P2P networks…Through the Wikipedia, music fans like you can share their knowledge about bands, albums and songs by writing new articles or through editing articles started by others.

Wow! Glad you liked our site.

We know, the linking to previews thing isn’t quite what it needs to be. We’re working on it. The big barrier is getting track level feeds from the preview sites, like iTunes. So far, they have not been too cooperative given we’re a new/small site. So pass the word and maybe that helps that problem get solved.

  • David, it’s a top site and a top idea. :-) Hopefully as you say the wrinkles will be sorted out once you get some more exposure and traffic. :-) Nice one!
