This free Web Page Security Check service seems useful and fast. Just enter the URL of a site, and get a fast report back identifying any potential malware nasties buried in the code. Useful for pre-checking some of the more…ahem…suspicious foreign sites perhaps?
The developers are upfront about saying it’s not a sure-fire solution, and recommend other tools you can use, which is good. Definitely one for the toolbox (alongside the excellent Virustotal for checking individual files for malware.)
To scan a web page for hidden illicit content (invisible spam links, malicious scripts and redirects), type in the URL of the web page and click “Check”. To see the web page security report, you need to have JavaScript and cookies enabled.
