Webbrowserpassview – the scariest freeware program in the world

Webbrowserpassview

Webbrowserpassview is a freeware program that automatically scans and unveils all the web site passwords stored in your Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Opera web browsers. What makes this so scary is the fact that literally anyone can now scan your laptop and immediately access your private web sites at will.

The program doesn’t have to be installed, so it can be run from a USB key, and once you fire it up the passwords are automatically displayed in 2 seconds. So it’s completely stupid proof. It’ll even print out an HTML table of all the passwords it finds. Wow!

The good news is the program won’t reveal master encrypted passwords, the bad news is the fact that sites like Facebook and even Amazon S3 secret codes are readily viewable in seconds. Kids, angry spouses, villains, nosy bosses, the list of people who could make ill use of this program is really terrifying.

If you’re one of those people who uses the same passwords for your banking and shopping sites as for basic web sites, I’d change them IMMEDIATELY! I did. Just unbelievable!

WebBrowserPassView is a password recovery tool that reveals the passwords stored by the following Web browsers: Internet Explorer (Version 4.0 – 8.0), Mozilla Firefox (All Versions), Google Chrome, and Opera. This tool can be used to recover your lost/forgotten password of any Website, including popular Web sites, like Facebook, Yahoo, Google, and GMail, as long as the password is stored by your Web Browser.
