What TV is Best For My Apartment? – find out the optimal resolution, size and sitting distance for your home set up

Everyone loves a good TV night if it’s done properly, and a lot of that comes from having the best installation you can afford. But what a lot of people don’t know is you can improve your experience even without having to spend a fortune on special gear, just by making some wise choices for your particular room size and placement.

What TV Is Best For My Apartment is a very simple, but cool online tool which gives you the optimum seating position for a variety of television sizes and resolutions. Got a 42 inch 1080p TV in your room? Then you’re going to get the best results from sitting around 5 foot 2 inches away, bearing in mind pixel size, and your eye line.

Unfortunately the site doesn’t go the extra step and give you an idea of the best lighting situation for your viewing enhancement, which is a shame, because that would really be the icing on the cake. But for all of you with 55 inch televisions in stair cupboard apartment rooms, this could be the solution to your blinding headaches you’ve been looking for.

  • Apart from size and resolution of the screen, wearing multifocal glasses to watch a subtitled film on a projector screen six feet away doesn’t help much in the headache department either.

I have a cheap pair of “unifocals” for that.
