Wireless Dominoes don’t need to touch to produce the domino effect

Dominoes. I’m sure that most of us had a set when we were children, but how many kids actually played the game associated with them? I recall that it was a long time before I ever learned how to play it. I was far more interested in setting up the little blocks and watching them fall down in succession. What was disappointing was when you finally got an elaborate setup, only to have one of them fall short, ruining the awesome effect.

These new Wireless Dominoes prevent that from happening entirely. What’s interesting is that they needn’t touch to make the next one fall. They use a wireless signal to let the one ahead know that it should topple over. The little dots are even replaced with LEDs so that you can watch them fall in the dark. These look to be a working concept right now, but who knows if it’s something that will ever be brought to market.
