These days flying can be a real hassle. Not only are ticket prices on the rise (along with luggage fees), but security checkpoints are worse to go through than ever. By the time you’re off the plane, all you want to do is get as far away from that place as possible. Unfortunately you can’t just hop in a taxi and go, as you need to pick up your luggage. If you were on a packed flight, there can be a nice crowd of people around the carousel where your bags are sent. Everyone wants a front-row seat so they can spot their bag as soon as it comes down. Well now you don’t have to see to know when yours has arrived.
I can’t really decide if this Wireless Luggage Finder is actually all that useful or not. On the one hand, it’s nice to be alerted when your bags are near. However, it lets you know when they are within 20 meters. So now you know that your bag is somewhere kind of far away, but on its way toward you. That just doesn’t seem terribly useful to me. It does know to shut itself off while in the cargo area of the plane, by measuring light, altitude and noise, so that’s a plus. If you’re really interested, $25 is all you’ll need for this device.
