WireWize is a new service designed to help people get their home audio/visual systems working. Yep that’s right, the home theater and A/V makers have produced such a disgustingly complicated mess of connectivity in their systems that someone figures they can actually make money out of the confusion. What a great advert for the marketplace eh? You can sort of understand it with computers, but Hi-Fi and television? Sheesh!
Anyhoo, the service helps out with cable choice, hookup instructions and optimisation assistance across different components. Sign up, login and enter in your equipment details. Once that’s done you’ll get a step by step guide to making it all work together. It’s all free and covers everything from TVs and satellite systems to games consoles, DVRs and Hi-Fi. Oh and a Pro version is coming which will supply telephone support from a professional ‘specialist’. Oy. US only at the moment.
Wirewize is a product of CE Interactive, a New York-based software and services company that has developed the definitive platform to help users manage, support, improve and simplify their consumer electronics experience.
