The world has a long way to go before it meets climate goals that they’ve set forth. As it turns out, only two countries, Morocco and Gambia are currently meeting their goals but this isn’t for lack of trying. It’s just that energy is a complicated matter but there are still some ways they can improve.
As many of the nations have learned, just switching to renewable is a long process and the checks and balances of emissions means that the reality of our situations may not be as good as they seem on paper.
Clean air initiatives don’t mean much when you’re still using coal based energy. Keeping things in a neutral space is great but long term, emissions need to be brought down to zero which for many countries means drastic overhaul. All that being said, the only way out of this mess is forward.
