Write For Us – the Ferret is looking for writers and reviewers who would enjoy contributing to one of the most respected tech blogs in the world

Are you feeling restless…aimless even? Is your life missing a vital spark, is there no va-va-va left in your vroom? Well we know just what you need. You need to do something that will give you deep inner satisfaction, impress your friends and relatives and eventually probably lead to a nomination for the Nobel Prize for Literature. That’s right, you need to write for The Red Ferret.

We’re one of the oldest, if not THE oldest, tech blogs on the planet. We started way back, long before dinosaurs roamed the earth, and we’ve been consistently clowning around ever since, covering all sorts of stuff, from fusion reactors to unicorn hats for your cat.

Now we’re opening up our writing team to the world. If you feel you’ve got what it takes to write consistently great stories about all sorts of cool and crazy stuff, or if you feel you could add a more serious tone and make us a better candidate to meet your Gran, we want to hear from you. Video product reviewers, how-to geeks and mollusk hunters are also welcome to apply.

Just send us an application email to red at redferret dot net with a 300 page resume attached (nah, just kidding), along with details of why you think you’d be a good fit for our team, and what you’re interested in. We’ll need to see examples of your previous writing or video skillz, and a good reference from Mrs Miggins next door might possibly also help. You’ll also clearly need to be familiar with WordPress or at least know how to use a computer of some sort.

Successful applicants will be able to bask in the glory of a prominent by-line, enjoy the kudos of having their words flow to the four corners of this small planet, and may one day be asked to run for the position of Secretary General of the United Nations. Or is that run for his coffee? We forget which.

Anyway off you go, don’t dally dilly, we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

  • Um, do people do it just for the magnificent glory and fame, or is there a teeny tiny amount of recompense involved? (Or free stuff? Lots of free stuff?)

    • Recompense? Free stuff? What are these words of which you speak? You’ll just have to apply to find out the secrets. :)
