Puzzle games are a lot of fun but they can get a bit repetitive. I mean, match three, connect dots, whatever, it is that you’re doing, you can only do so much before it’s the same old, same old. Yellow is the puzzle game that fights boring by changing every level.
The goal of every level is the same, to turn the whole screen yellow. That’s it. That being said, the actual mechanics change from level to level. Each one is a slightly different puzzle that you have to figure out in order to pass. In one level the puzzle is just waiting for the screen to turn yellow on its own. It’s that sort of game.
It kind of reminds me of WarioWare in the sense that it’s all of these micro-games rolled into one package, unified by the color yellow. Also, the music is hot, so if nothing else, it has that going for it. Yellow is free for Android and Apple devices. There are ads and in-app purchases.
