Peer broadcasting.

The PeerGarden [Japanese] box is the first in the world which can accept P2P Internet broadcasts from the PeerCast system. A single 56K modem can be used to broadcast to the entire network.’

Well OK, so maybe a little more tech than that. The Libra (Low Cost Integrated Broadband Radio Access) system works by feeding signals from fibre optic up to balloons tethered 1.5km above the ground. ‘Each unit has a coverage equivalent to 2,000 traditional wireless base stations.’

Party Bot.

The Party Bot is a 39.95 amusement that will probably last into the early hours of the morning, until someone inadvertently steps on it in a careless drunken stagger. But fun for a moment, eh? ‘he can transport your drinks and ciggies; entertain guests with his blinking eyes and moving ears; and he’ll even do a spot of sweeping up, via his handy underside brushes.’
