LimePC – new Chinese Linux powered iPod sized micro computer

LimePC. Debian Linux powered super tiny PC saunters over the horizon from Chinese manufacturer Tsinghua Tongfang. Based on Freescale’s ‘motherboard on a chip’ the device features Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet and USB 2.0 connectivity, so this is clearly a fully Web enabled puppy dog. The product site doesn’t carry much information as yet, but the talk of ‘LimeConnect’ leaves us a little perplexed. Is this something like the ill-fated Pogo walled garden Internet access concept? We do hope not.  LimeConnect is our proprietary…

Anti-Radi Case – the low radiation cell phone holder

Anti-Radi Case. This is the mobile phone case to buy if you’re worried about your body’s exposure to cellular radiation. The Croatian developers claim to have significantly reduced the EMF radiating inwards towards the body while still allowing the phone to receive signal from the surrounding environment. Sounds rather clever to us and they certainly seem to have done some proper research on the product. They even have charts and diagrams. Golly. Unfortunately they seem to have forgotten to put…

Cerevellum Bicycle Computer – GPS, heart rate monitor and digital rear view mirror in one

The Cerevellum is a bicycle computer which combines GPS, heart rate monitor and a digital video rear view mirror in one compact unit. It’s still at design stage, but the specs are neat. It’s upgradeable via add-on modules and the designers are aiming to sell it at around $299.00 if/when it reaches production. Nice idea (not so sure about the name though). BitLet – cool online BitTorrent file download tool

BitLet is a neat online tool for downloading BitTorrent files. It’s great for those who don’t want the hassle of installing a BitTorrent client, instead you just copy and paste the torrent url into the box and the download gets done there and then (assuming there are enough seeds etc). It works really well – try downloading the Steal This Film file from the front page as a test – and also comes with a cool webmaster version which site…

Hyper-Sub Submersible Powerboat – now it floats, now it doesn’t…

The Hyper-Sub is a dual function boat submarine type craft. It also happens to look rather 21 century slick. They’re calling it a submersible powerboat which is pretty clever marketing. It holds 4 people, travels at 40 knots on top, has a range of 500 miles and can dive to 250 feet. Ooh look, there’s a promo video too. Price not available right now though. Heh.  Marion Hyper-Submersible Powerboat Design is proud to introduce the Hyper-Sub Submersible Powerboat, a revolutionary…

Drobo – hands-on with the world’s first data storage robot

Drobo Storage Robot. There’s one immutable truth in technology, you can never have enough data storage space. No matter how big that mega hard disk you bought this afternoon, sometime soon you’re going to need to delete stuff to free up space. It’s like death and taxes, right? The problem is getting worse too, as we take advantage of the net to download more music, more video, and take more photos with ever growing megapixel file sizes. If you’re like…

DNA Ascension – restore your spiritual heritage…honest

DNA Ascension. Priced from $25.00 for 12 strands. Best of luck with it too. Oh, and there’s this bridge….  Originally, our 36 DNA strands were active and functioning. Approximately 5000 years ago, they were “deactivated,” greatly reducing many of our natural capabilities. Activating our 36 strands of DNA returns us to our original, natural state. It is a vital and necessary step in our spiritual growth and evolution. Tags: dna+ascension, mumbo+jumbo

SkreemR MP3 Search – find MP3 tracks quickly and stream them

SkreemR MP3 Search Engine. OK, so there’s no shortage of MP3 search services, but this one is quite nice. It’s streaming only (no download…oops, right mouse click, thanks Jim!) but comes with some nice options such as locating videos, concerts and lyrics. I also like the super fast embedded Flash play button, instant gratification folks.  We don’t just want you to find and experience music and audio that interests you. SkreemR wants to launch you into the internet music community….

USB MSN Missile Launcher with Webcam – chat and shoot at your buddies at the same time

USB MSN Missile Launcher with Webcam. Oh yes, now you can not only chat to your friends on MSN, but shoot them with little foam pellets as well. How much fun can that be? You both need to have one of these missile launchers hooked up to play, and we’re betting that the webcam is not going to make it *that* easy to find your target, but pfaff, who cares? $49.00.  The new generation of USB Missile Launcher now goes with MSN!…

Puzzle Lock – open sesame

This Puzzle Lock looks like fun. Your mission Jim, should you choose to accept it, is to open the padlock and then return everything back as it was. Oooh, tricky! £54.95/$115.40.  This is a really nice puzzle. To all appearances, it is a solid – and quite heavy – brass padlock. However one key has been locked to the padlock, and the other key is broken into two parts. Your challenge is to first open the padlock, and then to put…
