Hyper-Sub Submersible Powerboat – now it floats, now it doesn’t…

The Hyper-Sub is a dual function boat submarine type craft. It also happens to look rather 21 century slick. They’re calling it a submersible powerboat which is pretty clever marketing. It holds 4 people, travels at 40 knots on top, has a range of 500 miles and can dive to 250 feet. Ooh look, there’s a promo video too. Price not available right now though. Heh.

Marion Hyper-Submersible Powerboat Design is proud to introduce the Hyper-Sub Submersible Powerboat, a revolutionary new vessel with a design flexible enough to open the seas to industry, individuals, and the military in ways never before thought possible. The Hyper-Sub is the first small craft built with the horsepower, sea-keeping, and range to allow operation on the high seas, which also functions as a self-charging, autonomous, one-atmosphere submarine. The patented design, which was 31 years in the making, will forever alter the mini-sub industry.

  • Yeah 31 years in the making is all good and dandy, but the real question is can you wake board behind it and more important, can you wakeboard behind it while it’s travelling submerged? Now that would be cool.
