Prinics Photo Frame Printer – view and print in one handy box

The Prinics PFP-8B Photo Frame Printer combines an 8 inch digital photo frame with a 300 dpi dye sublimation thermal printer which can output a 6×4 photo in 50 seconds. Each cartridge refill supplies 36 high resolution prints, so it’s kind of like having your own home photo lab. There’s a memory card reader on board and a remote control for the picture frame (which can also play music). Sounds cool. [Via AVING]  Stacking of printed photographs (max. 12 photographs)…

Intercepter Phones – hear all, see all, know all…

Give an Interceptor Phone to your loved one this Christmas and you’ll end up knowing more about their life than they will. These Nokia handsets are actually completely normal except for the Intercepter software installed on them, but that’s enough! A handset so enhanced will do lots of clever things for you, like send you an SMS every time the phone is switched on. Send you an SMS of all callers to the target phone, copy you on text messages, activate the…

Etre Touchy – keep your hands warm while touching your touchy things

The Etre Touchy gloves are designed to let you fondle your touchscreens even in the bitter depths of winter. They’ve done this by cutting off the thumb and index finger tips to make sure you can stroke, glide, multi-touch and similar all with minimal risk of frostbite. Frozen chicken as I am, I’m gonna have to pass on this. I’d rather wrassle a warthog than expose any part of my pinkies to sub-zero temperatures, even if it is for something as important as locating the…

Tiny Checkout – very cool little online checkout service

Tiny Checkout is a clever little solution to an old problem. How can you quickly set up a payment checkout for a small ticket item like an e-book, shareware program or music track or similar? Sure you can sign up for a full shopping cart service (expensive) or grab an open source script (cheap but complex) or even roll up your sleeves and create your own Paypal page if you’re geeky. But now there’s an even quicker way. Just pop over…

It also means you can feel mighty proud of yourself that you can access iPhone sites without having to pay those extortionate monthly fees. Oh and you’ll…

Blip FM – Digg for music?

Blip FM is a new service that offers up music in a continuous rolling front page stream. It’s got a shed load of voting options (hence the Digg reference) for DJs as well as tracks, and the community plays a big part in driving music and DJs to prominent positions on the site through favouriting and things called blips (aka votes) and props. It’s got a cutesy design, an impressive set of features and can be quite engrossing, which has got to be good. It’s nice…

Piano Hands – who needs a keyboard?

Piano Hands feature a pair of gloves with sensors in the fingertips. Each finger is a different note, and you trigger an octave shift with the heel of the palm. OK, so you’re not going to be able to Chopin your face, but it could be amusing to make the nearest table top your plaything. £49.99.  Sensors on the fingertips of these natty gloves trigger the piano notes that play through the attached speaker, you get an octave out of…

Candy Grabber – you can’t help but help yourself

Nothing worth having comes easily as the old proverb says. The Candy Grabber enforces this by making you work for your sweets. Pop in one of the provided tokens and control the grabber forwards-and-back, up-and-down and open-and-close to grab your treat. It even has 1 minute and 15 seconds of fairground music to keep you entertained as well as canned applause when you finally demonstrate your dexterity. $US39.99 and annoyingly needs three D batteries. What are you going to…

Spoonflower – design your own fabric

Spoonflower is a new webservice (is that a new word?) and etsy community that allows you to design your own patterned fabric and have it printed and delivered. It’s in beta mode at the moment and not everything’s been ironed out but it is up and running. The idea is you design a swatch or a repeating pattern that is printed across the fabric. You choose how much you want printed and they make it and ship it out to…

Digital Photo Frame Keyring – perfect for Grandmas

We found this Kaiser Baas 1.5″ digital photo frame keyring in our local office supply super-mega-jumbo store and it’s quite nifty. It can hold around 70 photos and accepts either JPG or BMP files which it displays on a 1.5″ screen. The little screen is pretty ho hum, colours are bluish and you’ll need to find the right angle to view the photos clearly but it’s usable and quite bright. The screen looks like a colour mobile phone screen from…
