Dialspeed brings the touchscreen phenomenon to combination locks

If you have ever used a locker, you’ve probably come across a combination lock once or twice. Should you forget the numbers for your lock, you’re quite out of luck unless you have it written down somewhere. If you need to blaze through the combination quickly, and are holding pretty much anything, you’ll have to set things down just to get the lock undone.

London Underground Tube Tent makes you a hobo of the garden

Travel can be so boring. Sure the idea can sound attractive, but actually having to get onto a bit of transport equipment to get there is a complete waste of time. Who needs all the noise, smell, people and discomfort? Not us, that’s for sure. Now if only we could have all the excitement of a journey without the hassle, that would be great.

Flutter lets you control your media playback with a wave of the hand [Freeware]

Don’t know about you, but we’re using the laptop for movies and music much more than we’ve ever done before. It’s probably the convenience of not having to get up and move to another room/couch to catch up on some entertainment. Why bother when you can fre up a player and enjoy the stuff instantly? Oh sure, it’ll probably kill us in the end, but at least we’ll die with a smile on the lips and some popcorn in the…

Rolly Brush is a chewable toothbrush

Hitting your lunch break is normally the high part of a long day at work. The only problem you will inevitably face, is having weird smelling breath after you have eaten. The opportunity to brush your teeth is not always available right after lunch, but no one is going to want to be around you if you have bad breath.

Awesome spoken word video search from Mobento could revolutionize education and more

There’s no question that the rise and rise of online video is delivering some incredibly powerful changes to the way we consume knowledge. The first surprise is how popular short form video content has become, which came as a complete surprise to those who thought you could never deliver enough value in a few minutes to make it work. The second shock is how powerful on-demand video is for education.

Air-Conditioned Cooling Pants keep you breezy on a hot summer’s day

If the heat in your area has been anything like it’s been in the town where I live, air conditioning alone is not enough. You drink all the ice water you can, wear shorts, and try to hit the pool, but cooling down seems almost impossible. If you have a job outside, or even have to be outdoors in general, it seems that you almost immediately break out into a sweat.

Zombie Extermination, Research, and Operations Kit will prepare you for the zombpocalypse

Zombies seem to be all over the place any more. Not in real life mind you, but in television, movies, games, and everywhere in between. The town I live in even has an annual zombie walk, and I know many more cities around this area and out of state that have a similar tradition. This is a fictional ordeal, but some people are becoming a little bit too involved in the topic.

Soloshot makes you the star of the show

Have you ever wanted to film an awesome reel of you racing a car, skateboarding, or any other fast-paced sport? If you have, you probably own the camera, but lack a film crew. You can always get your friends to film for you, but they don’t always have the steadiest hands, or just don’t know how to work a camera.

PaperPhone – this latest concept could outperform smartphones

Bendable technology is an exciting concept that’s making headway in the electronics industry. A new prototype aptly called PaperPhone, created by researchers at Queens University’s Human Media Lab, is a flexible thin-film phone that could definitely make smartphones obsolete. More portable that any current mobile computer, by bending the super-thin film, it activates different cell phone commands, then stores the movement in memory so that the next time you bend it that way, it activates the command. Bend the corners…

DIY Laptop Repair Wiki helps you fix your computer emergencies

Laptop computers are very cool tools, but they do suffer from more knocks and bashes than your average machine. It’s not just the drop from a high table that does the damage, but also the wear and tear from simply transporting a notebook from one location to another. Screen hinges, keyboards and device bays are particularly vulnerable to rough handling.

Turn your cell phone into a contactless MasterCard with just a sticker

Everybody’s talking about using mobile phones as cash wallets, but the problem is there doesn’t seem to be any way to make it work without a lot of effort. Sure, we’ve got NFC (near field communications) which let you wave your phone at a payment terminal to pay, but there’s only a few NFC enabled handsets around, and the manufacturers don’t seem to be in a rush to bring more out right now. Now there’s a clever new alternative which…
