Recently I had to go about putting up a shelf for a growing book collection. The task was a simple one, and I had all the tools necessary, but keeping the ruler steady while trying to pin it to the wall with the tips or pads of my fingers was a nightmare. This hindrance only tacked on a couple of extra minutes due to remeasuring, but I have been searching for an easier way to go about hanging up things for some time now.
Thankfully, there is an item out there like the 24 Inch Ruler with levels and a handle that can be the solution for this issue. It is made of a lightweight aluminum, and what looks to be black plastic that houses the levels. There are markings for millimeters and inches, and two levels placed horizontally and vertically. The handle is also made of the same black material, and sits in the middle of the ruler. This is going to make hanging things like shelves, long mirrors, and paintings so much easier, and for $15, I’d say it’s a pretty decent buy.
