3Doodler is a pen that doesn’t need paper

If you’re interested in 3D printed objects, then it’s probably because you want to see your ideas come to life. Well, alive as they can be anyway. Writing down a thought is one thing, but it’s another for that brief synaptic instance to take physical shape. Perhaps that’s why 3D printing is so appealing. However, what if I told you there was a way to draw your ideas into 3D existence?

The 3Doodler is the first ever 3D printing pen. It uses ABS plastic that will heat, harden, and set the moment you draw it into shape. It’s just like holding an exceptionally wide pen, except you’re no longer bound to a flat surface. Currently it only costs around $75, which is fairly cheap in the world of 3D printing. Of course, you will lose the organized look, but it’s much more engaging than sitting there watching the machine do it’s thing for what feels like hours.
