The awesome new Sketchory site offers up 250,000 drawings, doodles and sketches which can be shared, remixed and generally utilised for free under a Creative Commons attribution license. You can’t use more than 1000 in your projects, but you can use the images commercially, which is very generous. They need help with tagging, and be prepared for some…ah…rather rough efforts, but it’s a superb effort all round and deserves to be hugely successful. Oh and check out the cool animation links, which show the images being created. Excellent. [Via BoingBoing]
With these sharing terms, you can for instance use a sketch in your blog or your presentation. Or you could sell a book containing Sketchory sketches… you would just need to tell people about the source of the sketches and the licensing terms and keep to other conditions of the Creative Commons license…Please note we cannot promise to keep pics up forever, and may also remove certain images sometimes, or change images or image content
Many examples of bad artwork. Most sketches show that the artists???, have very little talent.
very little talent you mean good talents people who dont have talent then they wouldnt put it online so that means they do have talent
Glad you like it!
> You can’t use more than 1000 in your projects
Well actually you can, for non-commercial projects. Just for commercial projects we are asking for that limit…
> Many examples of bad artwork.
Sirron, we really need help with the rating. Once many ratings are in, we'll have lots more options to showcase the terrific sketches…
at least someone gets that every one has talent
everyone does have talent
its very true
all people can draw but some havent figured out how
its really rude to say that some dont have talent
