Video Thang – freeware video editor will gaudy your eyeballs as well as your footage

Video Thang is a free video editor which combines a totally cosmic colorfest Flash interface with some pretty useful features. The interface is clearly aimed at the yoof market, because no-one else could survive the mix of colours, typefaces and styles, but for MySpace babies, no worries.

You can import video from your webcam, websites and your mobile phone or camcorder (via the computer of course) and once imported you can add audio, still photos and titles and transitions to give your opus that home cooked DIY studio production feel. Take away the glitz and it’s actually not a bad editor, albeit a bit simplistic. The drag and drop timeline and instant preview of your ‘mix’ work pretty well, which is cool. Check it out if you’re after a simple editor for your movies. It copes with most video formats, including .mov, .avi. .mpg. 3gp etc etc. Oh and there’s a community, ‘natch.

If you’re someone that wants an easy way to edit digital videos, and you can’t figure out complicated video editing programs, it’s safe to say you’ll like this free easy video editing software…Cut, trim, build. Easy. Want to cut out your brother-in-law’s embarrassing karaoke at the beginning of the video? Done. Zoom in on the cute friend in the group shot? Done. So easy, well, even you could do it.
